We are happy to support children who need regular prescribed treatment e.g. inhaler/antihistamines, and ask that you provide appropriate medication to be left in school at all times. If we feel your child requires their medication, we are able to call you for verbal permission.
If a child needs to take medicine, please ensure that any medicines are provided in the original bottle or measured doses. Written confirmation needs to be enclosed with the medication, clearly marked with the dosage, the name of the medication, time to be administered and child’s name.
If a child is on a course of antibiotics, we are able to administer these if the dosage is four times a day. If the dosage is three times a day, these can be administered at home.
Please ensure you hand all medication in to the school office, along with written permission. Children may not bring any medication in to school as it needs to be logged and kept in a secure location. We need to be very clear about which children are taking medicine, for their own safety and for the safety of others.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the school office.
