In honour of Remembrance Day, Year 6 created poppies in our first lesson of our 'Introduction to Python’ unit.

Starting with Blocks, we looked at the code underneath and learnt some basics of Python.

Using loops and functions for the petals, the children combined their learning in Scratch and logo. Some of the children created the rare Himalayan blue and gold poppies and some were even able to create more than one poppy!
