Huge congratulations and a massive thank you to our incredible Year 6 Digital Leaders who led a fantastic staff training session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) this Wednesday, 12th November!

They demonstrated how AI tools can save time and create engaging resources for everyone at Caroline Haslett School.

The team showed off some useful skills, earning high praise from the staff:

• Zayd demonstrated how quick and easy it is to use the "AI Design" feature in Canva to create things like a birthday card in seconds.

• Skylar and Jessica showed everyone how to transform a regular photo into a cartoon using a simple prompt in Google Gemini, which is great for making fun, engaging resources. They also mentioned describing and asking Gemini to create images.

• Diya made sure everyone knew how to easily export AI-generated text or images straight into Google Docs and Gmail.

• Elsie introduced the staff to the powerful tool, NotebookLM, explaining how it can upload a long document (like a policy or research paper) and instantly answer questions about its key points or create a summary.

• Hazel showed a game-changing skill: using Gemini to generate multiple-choice questions and quickly putting them into a Google Form for Google Classroom, saving teachers lots of time on assessment.

• Cassia showed the future of AI by demonstrating how to create a "Google Gem," which is a custom AI tool trained to do specific tasks
