This half-term, we have had the opportunity to learn how to play the trumpet with the help of Mr Liddiard and our in-house trumpeters, Leo and William.

The children were taught how to handle the instrument correctly, use the mouthpiece, and practise ‘blowing raspberries’ to ensure a clear sound. They also learnt how to read simple musical notation. Murrey Class were able to apply their knowledge of tempo, rhythm and pitch from our music lessons earlier this year.

All the children are having great fun while learning, have made huge progress, and I am extremely proud of them.
