On Thursday, the netball team played their first-ever 7-a-side match against Webber Independent School.

We expected Webber to be a very strong side. However, our team did not look out of place. The match started with us going 1-0 down in the first quarter, and by the second quarter the score had moved to 3-0.

At that point, we really pushed ourselves and showed great determination. In the final two quarters, we prevented them from scoring again and managed to score twice, bringing the final result to a close 3-2 loss.

For our first experience of 7-a-side netball, this was an excellent performance. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the match and relished the opportunity to play against a school we rarely compete with.
