STEM CLUB

STEM Club

Our brand-new STEM Club met for the very first time this week and were ready to dive into hands-on science and engineering.

For their first challenge, the children constructed hoop gliders: simple yet fascinating flying devices made from straws and paper hoops. Unlike traditional paper planes, hoop gliders rely on the physics of lift and drag, offering a fun way to explore aerodynamics.

The pupils experimented with different hoop sizes and placements, testing how these changes affected flight distance and stability.

Mrs Hart was incredibly impressed with the children's teamwork, creativity and scientific thinking in action.
