Y5 DT lesson 

In DT, the children began by researching a range of curry recipes before designing their own. They applied their maths skills brilliantly, using a ratio to upscale their ingredients, so they could cook for the whole class.

The children practised key food preparation techniques such as chopping, slicing, peeling and grating, working carefully and safely to create a delicious vegetable curry. Served with naan and poppadoms, their finished dishes were thoroughly enjoyed!

After tasting their creation, the pupils thoughtfully evaluated their work and suggested improvements they would make next time, showing a real understanding of the design process.
