Year 5 took part in an exciting online STEM event, The Road to RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo).

Working in teams, the children created colourful card gliders and tested them in a friendly competition to see whose design flew the best. Starting with straws as the base, they experimented with different wing and tail shapes and sizes.

Year 5 showed fantastic teamwork, used accurate scientific knowledge, and recorded their results with great care. Congratulations to Alejandro in Winstanley and Eliana in Mayer, whose gliders travelled the furthest in their classes.

It was a fun and engaging experience for everyone — well done, Year 5!
